The June Bank Holiday weekend

The June Bank Holiday weekend CIC is being organised by the Morgan Family of Corry Lass.
Meeting in the Bush Hotel on Friday 1st June at 9pm. Saturday 2nd we will cruise to Drumsna where the fleet will remain for the weekend. Lots of exciting things to look forward to for all.
Please let us know if your intending to join us for that weekend.

Rams Island trip / Branch meeting in Lough Neagh

Trip to Rams Island,Lough Neagh Saturday 14th April 2018

In keeping with our promise to arrange some different branch events, on Saturday 14th April 2018 IWAI Carrick will hold its first branch meeting of the year during a trip to RAMS Island, Lough Neagh. (at the invitation of IWAI RBLNA.).
This is a great opportunity to visit this heritage project and see the fantastic work carried out by the volunteers.

This event is open to all IWAI members.

Visit to the Maritime Museum in Dún Laoghaire.

On Saturday 17th February the branch make a visit to the Maritime Museum in Dún Laoghaire.
The National Maritime Museum is housed in Dun Laoghaire’s 180-year-old Mariners Church, directly opposite the new DLR Lexicon library.

Arrive at the Museum at 12.15pm for the tour. The tours takes about an hour, followed by soup and sandwich supplied by the museum.

Total cost €10 per adult with reduction for children

All parking in Dún Laoghaire is pay and display, so public transport, buses and Dart are a good option and also allow for members to partake in a hot toddy if the weather is cold!. The Lexicon library is also worth a visit or go for a walk on the West Pier and buy a Teddies ice cream!

The cheapest parking is on Carlisle Pier at €5.00 for the day.

We need to give the museum final numbers by Tuesday 13th February. If you want to attend and have not already confirmed your attendance, can you contact carrick@iwai.ie to advise on numbers.
