The Canal Communities area spans Inchicore, Rialto, Kilmainham and Bluebell in Dublin 8. Liffey Cruise

BBQ, Saturday @7pm

Tidal conditions mean that we will not be going to Islandbridge this year.

However, boats should be able to descend to the Liffey, locking down between 10:00 and 11:30, locking up between 13:30 and 14:30 (times to be confirmed with WI).

Low tide on the 18th is 11:57 @ East Wall.

We recommend that boats stay in the area between Butt Bridge and Poolbeg yacht club, taking care to avoid commercial vessels.  See our guide to Navigating the Liffey (intended to assist Dublin Rally participants)

Note that a new bridge is being constructed just east of O'Connell St. which may prevent navigation west of that point.

We recommend you have a good look at the Dublin City Moorings 2008 handbook - it contains details of Dublin Port radio, Small Craft (Leisure) regulations and Tide Tables.
Also check www.dublinport.ie for their 2008 Leisure Craft Guidelines.

The BBQ will be held @ 7pm (on the jetties near 107B) - bring own plates/knives ...
