"Leitrim Star" left its base in Carrick-on-Shannon on Saturday 9th April 2011 bound for Dublin via the Royal Canal but ended up going into Dublin via the Grand Canal and returning via the Royal. Movements were:
09 Apr: Carrick-on-Shannon to Richmond Harbour - crew Michael, Tim, Niamh and Jennifer Slevin;
10 Apr: Richmond Harbour to Abbeyshrule - impeller failed;
28 Apr: Abbeyshrule back to Lock 44 - retreating as we've missed the April Spencer Dock bridge lift - crew Richard & Eileen Holbrook;
29 Apr: L44 on the Royal Canal to Lanesborough and onto Athlone - crew handing over to Michael Slevin & Anders Svedlund in Lanesborough;
30 Apr: Athlone to Banagher for fuel and on to Tullamore on the Grand Canal;
01 May: Tullamore to Robertstown;
02 May: Robertstown to Hazelhatch - crew Michael Slevin/Richard Holbrook;
07 May: Hazelhatch to Grand Canal Dock;
21 May: GCD to Spencer dock for failed attempt to leave Dublin - Irish Rail lifting bridge failure;
22 May: back to GCD;
18 Jun: Grand Canal Dock to 12th lock Castleknock, Royal Canal;
23 Jun: 12th lock, Castleknock to Riverstown (above L21) - crew Michael and Seán Slevin;
24 Jun: Riverstown to Abbeyshrule (Green & Silver complete) and onto L44;
25 Jun: L44 to Carrick-on-Shannon.
