IWAI Members' Conference,
Saturday 21st April 2007

Radisson Hotel, Athlone, Co. Westmeath

The purpose of conference is to inform members on current matters of interest and to allow members an opportunity to plan the future direction of the IWAI. It will also give Branches and members an opportunity to share their experiences in a number of areas such as recruitment and local projects.

We are going to be facing a number of challenges in the near future. This is a valuable opportunity for you to put forward your thoughts and views on these key issues facing the IWAI.

We hope that the Conference will stimulate debate in the IWAI and assist the Association in devising our future strategy. It is hoped that the conference will build on the success of the previous conferences we held in 2001 which led to a number of changes in the Association.

The conference will start with an address by our President Brian Cassells followed by workshops. There is a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Association in both Branches and individual members. Some branches have carried out some work in the areas that are the subject of our workshops. One of the objectives of this conference is to help each other learn from some of the successes of the IWAI and to bring the Association forward to meet its current and future challenges
