Greetings, Without mentioning names or anything, just to get a ball-park figure for someone who is thinking of getting into boating, can anyone say what the going rate for berthage is in the greater Carrick On Shannon area. Talking about a 25-30 footer. (So not Chang Sha then......) He had 2 sizes of finger pontoons. Smaller boats went on the shorter fingers and I think he had the 2 rates for all the finger pontoons. There were a few longer boats and a barge moored along the main pontoon and I assume they were charged by the meter but I never found out.

Short answer is I don't know ! We are 5 years in Albert and haven't thought of moving. Butlers is listed on this site but there are other options.

Carrickcraft (071-9620236) in Carrick on Shannon may have still have spaces.
Tim Murray (086-2526373) has berths available on the marina at Cootehall.
Knockvicar Marina beside Brunos restaurant might have spaces.
Just north of Carrick-on-shannon is another private marina.....
and on Apolloduck.ie are details on the Waterfront Marina at Dromod (087-0513511)..

I pay just under €1300 (assuming that rates - hopefully - haven't gone up this year!) for a 34ft steel cruiser in Lough Key Marina.

We have a 36ft steel boat in Albert Marina and pay €1300 annually.

I imagine a 25 - 30 footer would pay less......
