Nice Sail on Derg today - met some Derg Branch people

Sailed over to Mountshannon this morning (Saturday). Ate the hang sangwich then called in to Barge James & Mary - interesting conversation with Donal.

Then walked over to InisCealtra SC, met owners of SV Cheetah (Dermot and Margery). (Thanks for tea and chat..)

For a multi-hull, Cheetah looked very well... :-)

The electric propulsion system is very impressive, but Dermot will you not miss the whiff of diesel/petrol?

Weather looked grey when Breakaway headed out of Mountshannon Hrbr but a largely sunny sail with following winds brought her back to LDYC.

Breakaway now secured with yet another bad forecast imminent.

Great to see you John. You choose the right day for your sail !

In Ireland you have to plan your day around the weather, so we got up at 5.30 to watch the match, had breakfast at half-time, went back to bed at 8.00, slept 'till almost 12.00 - and we'll be ready for the clearance when it comes in the afternoon.
At he moment the rain is still coming down sad smiley, but the rainfall radar shows a clearance already at Limerick grinning smiley

Dermot,

Was in Potumna last night. The harbour was packed. Yeasterday was beautiful on the lake. This
am wasn't too bad but the rain at the moment would split stones.
Didn't get up for the match, listened to it on the wireless. Fell asleep after 17-0 . I take it we won!
