First official IWAI Powerboat Branch run to Lough Erne will take place on 12,13th May and will be based at the Share Centre [www.sharevillage.org] just outside of Lisnaskea, Co Fermanagh. Members from all IWAI branches are more than welcome to attend. Even if you cannot bring your own boat, come along anyhow I'm sure we will be able to find a spare seat for you.
Austin, Bernie Mags and myself( +anyone else we can rope in ! ) are still tying down details, but general plan will be along the lines of below:-

-Fri 11th May from 16:00, arrive at Share centre and check-in, Launch boats and/or park trailers in assigned area.
-Fri evening- free to do as you wish(will advise later if on-site Bar open or not)
-Sat 08:00-09:00, Cooked breakfast in restaurant.
-Sat 11:00 On the Water and travelling North toward Enniskillen.
-Sat Noon(ish) lunch stop( mystery location)
-Proceed through Enniskillen and Portora Lock onto Lower Lough Erne
-Visit Devenish Island(or similar)
-Return South towards Share Centre with possible one or two stops en-route(more mystery locations !)
-17:00ish arrive at Share Centre. Tie-up boats or lift-out, as you wish. Refuel.
-19:00 Dinner in Restaurant. Retire to Bar. Those with Musical instruments and good singing voices will be given the best seats !
Total planned on water distance for Sat, approx 40Miles

-Sun 08:00-09:00, Cooked breakfast in restaurant.
-Sun 10:00 check out of rooms (Time not definite yet)
-Sun 11:00 On the water and heading South towards Belturbet with one or two stops on way(more mystery ! ), Picnic lunch.
-Sun early afternoon, Return to Share Centre, recover Boats and head home.
Total planned on water distance for Sun, approx 20Miles.

Accommodation is being provided for nights of 11th and 12th on-site in 3 Bedroomed self-catering Chalets with each ensuite room sleeping 4 in 2 sets of bunk Beds, so please organise yourselves into "compatible" groups of 4. The more you have in the room the less expensive it will be !
As it will be necessary to commit to reasonably accurate numbers can anyone who is interested please drop me an e-mail to richardellis[at]eircom.net and I will send you a registration form with details of costs etc. We have made a provisional booking for a number of Chalets and when we receive your completed registration form, bookings will be made on your behalf on a first come first served basis. There is not a lot of alternative accommodation in the area, so if you want “in”, we need to have your registration form before Weds 21st March.
Reservations for chalet accommodation, Breakfast and Sat evening dinner can only be made via registration form.
For those who like to be” closer to nature” the site also provides tent and camper van facilities. If you wish to avail of these please make booking direct with Share centre but we will still need a registration form in order to include you in Sat evening Dinner.
For those who live in the locality and would like to participate in the trip and perhaps the evening meal, but do not require accommodation, a registration form will nevertheless still be helpful/required so pls drop me a mail and I will send one out to you .
Pls note its still early days, the above is provisional and subject to change (but not too much hopefully !)

I have the TCat registered with WI and have my sticker, BUT, there is a little problem...
The sticker are designed to be placed inside clear glass, looking out from the inside... not an option on my TCat.

So do I stick it on anyway, so that it's hard to read, and reading back to front, or should I get some clear plastic, stick it to that and simply 'hang' it on the boat when tied up?

Hi Niall - this was the solution I used, a perspex mount screwed into the console. Joe and Denise put this together for me after I'd admired a similar mount on their rib. Regards Mark.

Lots of expressed interest in the Erne run 12,13th May, and if we get the Weather that Austin and Bernie are promising it will be a great weekend...... :-)
Can I ask please that anyone who has a more than 50% chance that they will attend to please send me an e-mail at richardellis@eircom.net so that I can send you a registration form.
We can only get an idea of numbers and make bookings through the completed forms and we have a cutoff date for guaranteed places with the Share centre of middle of next week.

OK so all set and ready to roll for the PB Branch first outing to NI this weekend. Just waiting for the Weather(fine I hope) to be delivered on Friday afternoon.......

Trip is well subscribed, but if there is any other IWAI members who would like to drop in for the day, I am sure there will be no problem in finding a a few seats for bums. Hope to be departing Share centre around 11:00 Sat am and returning around 17:00.
