Well done again on the IWN - looks great.

Also to Tow Path Tim - many thanks for bringing meself & John with you up and down the waterways complete with Mascot and camera in hand. Whether, by barge, cruiser, dinghy or on foot you certainly covered some cruising grounds.

At least now that the reveal has taken place, I can relax in the knowledge that I will no longer be able to blow your cover. Naturally, we will miss your articles.

My copy was waiting for me when I got home from Mountshannon today. It gave me the push to renew my IWAI sub, which I have just done online.
I do wonder at the large difference between the North and South fees, which bear no relation to exchange rates going back at least 5 years.

Thank you all for the kind words. I too will miss Tim but as I said in the editorial, it opens up an opportunity. If anyone feels that have ideas for articles or a series of articles, run it by me. Don't worry too much about your actual literary skills, I have a tame sub-editor who can help with all that. What we need are ideas for new features. In particular I'd like some technical stuff, could be engines, fibre-glass repairs, boat restoration, installing a new echo-sounder etc etc.

But I'm open to any suggestions.

I have not received one yet and was thinking did my membership run out, Is there away I can check the start and finish date or do you receive notice when it's time to renew. I'm sure it is a good read

Hi Fergal, yes you should recieve a copy if you were a member in 2011. Membership runs from Jan to Dec. Members who may not have gotten around to renew yet for 2012 will recieve this edition of IWN. The mailing house sometimes stagger the delivery of the magazine over a number of days. Automated reminder emails should go out to members due for 2012 renewal shortly. Noel
