Hello Mick Farrell,

I don't know you from Adam...but I look to this forum for information and friendly advice..but your post suggests a different agenda.

I would rather you post your comments on a specific item rather than one that you feel hovers in the ether provoking comment rather than being informative or moving a debate or topic along.

In other words what result or reaction would you like from your post and to what end.

Dave

Hi Boater,

Very economic with the auld keystrokes. (+1)

I assume that you mean that you agree with David O'Sullivans post.

Mick asked a legitimate question. I do not believe that Mick has any different "Agenda".

As was said before on here, sometimes without the advantage of body language, content can be misunderstood.

I certainly hope that Everything and anything of waterways interest is up for debate. Even some things not boaty can be interesting. We can choose to read them or ignore them.

Regards

Kieran

Apologies David O'Sullivan, call it a large dose of frustration if you will. As for reactions, merely that anyone reading it, would consider the question.

Not expressing my own opinion, but merely observing and passing on the comments made by many at the last council meeting that the atmosphere, tone, civility, quality of posts and increased contributions by broader numbers of users had improved significantly since recent changes were implemented. It is great to see and welcome new folk posting on the happier forum. Long may it last.

Anyone any infomation on where i could catch Tench on the Erne system ?? not the smaller lakes within the Erne catchment but the big upper and lower and associated lakes and rivers the Erne flows through.

Try near any marinas or jetties that are accessable from the land as people throwing food to birds some of which sinks are good places for bottom feeding fish. Saw a few large splashes near Tullyinishmore recently that seemed too big for roach or rudd-might be bream though. Only be careful near these places as line can tangle on props so be prepared to reel in regularly as boats approach.smoking smileyMick

Sure no problem PJ.....the proposition was for people to ponder on. BTW, if you ran that boat through the odd canal lock, that hairy arse would be washed off of her...!!

Noel,

Dave did indeed make a comment about "lurkers/new people" posting, during the meeting.

No acrows needed for a flat bottomed tub.The answer for the problems of others might lie in this add from DoneDeal.

duty adjustable boat stands for sale. essential for dry dock stability whilst repairing or antifouling. be safe whilst working on your boat. cheaper than they can be made for. 8 available.

These stands fit under the quarters on your boat.I know a marina on Derg usung similar. Now how do you stop the boat falling over until you get the stands in place?? Use acrows of course.
