IWAI AGM 2012

IWAI AGM 2012
21 April, 2012 11:50
Hi Folks,

I attended my first IWAI AGM last night. The meeting was held in Mullingar. I have been a member of IWAI since the mid 1990's. I know, I know........I should have been attending these meetings before now.

I hope to be in attendance at future AGM's and here's why. Everyone that I spoke to both before & after the meeting were really so nice. It was a great feeling to be amongst so many people who had at least one thing in common with me ie. membership of this wonderful association.

The business of the meeting was conducted in a very well organised fashion & in a nice venue.

Under AOB there was some discussion regarding the following topics: Fracking, Water Extraction, Lowtown, Cessation of e-mail list, Royal Canal Summit level closure.

Anybody from the floor was given an opportunity to have their say on any IWAI issue which they might care to mention.

The IWAI shop was present and appeared to be doing some business.

The new council were elected for the coming year and I just want to wish them all the best.

Congrats & thanks to all those involved in the organisation of the AGM.

Regards

Kieran

I couldn't make it to this years AGM, but made it to last years.

I was impressed with the professionalism & efficiency of the meeting. The icing on the cake was the wonderful meal afterwards grinning smiley
