Masters are reminded that when planning their voyages to take into account the raised water levels and the increased velocity of the water flow due to heavy rainfall, in the navigations.

In particular to bear in mind that available airdraft will be reduced at bridges and that the water flow rates will have increased in the vicinity of locks, weirs and other navigation infrastructure requiring greater anticipation and generally the application of more engine power when manoeuvring.
