On the 20th October 2006, An Post, Ireland's post office issued the set of four stamps featured above.  All four feature photography by Walter Pfeiffer.  Walter's photographs feature in many books including "Connemara and Beyond", "Wicklow - A Personal View", "Living in Ireland", "In the Houses of Ireland" and "Conrad Gallagher's New Irish Cooking".  The stamps, a booklet and prestige booklet can be purchased from An Post's Philatelic Dept. Click here for more details  Our thanks to An Post, and to Walter for permission to highlight these stamps on our website.  Interestingly, IWAI were first contacted about this forthcoming issue back in January 2005.
