The branch’s annual winter walk will take place on Sunday 6th January. Those attending are asked to assemble at the car park at Milford Wier at @ 1.30 p.m. sharp. The walk will take place in Clogrennan wood. Participants can walk or drive the 2 miles to Clogrennan Wood depending on their energy levels. The walk in Clogrennan Wood is a looped walk over a 4km trail on forest tracks. The walk is graded as easy and should take about 1hr-1hr 30 mins to complete.More details here. Mulled wine supplied. Arrangements have been made with the management of Doyles “The Railway House” Bagnelstown for those who would like the option of a meal afterwards. Looking forward to seeing you all out and about.
Sunday 20th May. Six boats participated in the event.The rally turned out to be an abridged version of the proposed trip due to the construction of a low bridge about one mile from Corbally Harbour.Photos of the event posted here.

“Boat Buddy” made a presentation to the members explaining their 3 stage boat cleaning products. Members were impressed with the presentation and placed some orders with Maurice O’ Reilly of Boat Buddy. More information here
Almost Forty members of the Branch participated in the annual Winter River walk. the group assembled at Borris Golf Club and walked the bank of the Mountain River to Bun Na hAbhainn and from there to Ballytiglea Bridge. The weather on the day was ideal and after their stroll the walkers were treated to refreshments at the home of branch members Josie and Fritz.Branch President Arthur Kepple thankedJosie and Fritz on behalf of the branch for their hospitality. Fritz in turn wished a good year’s boating in 2012.
