John Mc Donagh has been appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer of Waterways Ireland, the cross-border body accountable to the North South Ministerial Council under the 1998 British-Irish Agreement.

Mr McDonagh is a English, History and Politics graduate of UCD and he holds a Masters in Finance from National College of Ireland. He spent much of his career working in Shell Ireland and was formerly Country Manager. Prior to joining Waterways Ireland Mr Mc Donagh was Sales and Marketing Director in Liberty Insurance. He has also consulted on a variety of projects across multiple sectors.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all Masters of vessels and water users that Clondara Lock (Burke’s Lock) on the Camlin River is closed to navigation. Access to Richmond Harbour will be via Tarmonbarry Lock and the Camlin River.

 

An update Marine Notice will be issued when the lock is operational.

Cloonatrig & Tullyinishmore jetties closed from 30th April to 30th June 2019

 

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters and owners of vessels that the jetties at Cloonatrig & Tullyinishmore jetties on Upper Lough Erne will be closed from 30th April to 30th June 2019. The existing jetties are being replaced with new jetties.
