History Of the Cruising Club
The Cruising Club was founded on 21st April 2007 and is the first non-geographical based branch of the Inland Waterways Association of Ireland.
At present the branch has a fleet of approximately 45 boats and a membership of circa 85 persons.
Cruising grounds include all navigable waterways in the island of Ireland. In addition, some members also enjoy cruising on the Shannon Estuary as well as coastal cruising on the west coast or even further afield.
Most events organised by the Cruising Club involve a weekend ‘Cruise-in-Company’ to a pre-determined location and include a range of entertaining activities.
Membership is welcomed from any and all interested parties, be they boat-owners or not.
