31B's Green And Silver Voyage. Posted by Mick Farrell
Right.....
Out of Richmond this afternoon, up the Camlin and on up through Rooskey, to Dromad, to meet up with the HBA CIC. Some "sticky" corners up near the top of the Camlin, and a good bit of weed at the edges.....a bit like a canal really...!! Out into the deep water's of the Shannon....nice to see the rudder sitting down to the nuts again...!!! M(W&W)F Leaving Richmond Hbr.... Some tight bends... The local Residents.... Deep water at last...!!
Katie, Holly, Ben Treacy, Robbie Saunders and Simon Jeffers are in me wheelhouse talking teenage stuff. @#$%&....it's worse than listening to me hull scraping through Louisa Bridge....LOL
Could use this on the Royal....! Might not fit on the Royal...! So badly needed on the Royal...! Ehhh...I just like this one...!
Changeable sort of a day on Boderg en route to Drumsna. Sunshine and squally showers. Lots of boats waiting and Passing through Albert Lock. I count 24 boats tied up in Drumsna at the minute. Dromad Hbr was pretty full last night too. Is every one on holidays at the moment...???
Nice day.....but... 10 minutes later En-Route to Drumsna Who's that hiding in the ditch...?
Excellent evening with everyone on 71M. We all cooked dinner, brought it along, and swapped or shared as we saw fit. I had salmon on bread and onion soup for starters and striploin steak, pasta with chicken, a small dab of curry and rice, salad and spuds for the main event. Could'nt decide whether to try Joe T's apple tart with cream and custard, or Cliff's pavlova for desert but eventually settled on picking at the leftover fruit cocktail...!! Fair play to Brian and Sally for hosting...!!

A quiet moment this afternoon
(Tommy Mc Loughlin told this lad that there was a tree in me wheelhouse and he wanted to know if he could build a nest in it..!!) A not so quiet moment...!! The Swans come calling... PJ fancies one for dinner...!!
No worries Philip....although it was, in fact, white bread, I don't believe that PJ had any problems digesting the swan....LOL
M(W&W)F Evening Falls
The 'Oul Git's, Les and PJ had obiviously had enough of the rest of us so they ran us out of Drumsna today by playing their latest hit "Me sparkplug is'nt firing and me outboard will'nt run".
M(W&W)F PJ bates one out on the back of 31B Les accompanies him on a very spluttery outboard
