Ah no, I don'r think so Mick... In order for that natural phenomonen to occur y don't just need high speed winds, you also have to have lots of warm winds (hot air...) emenating from the southerly regions....winking smiley winking smiley

Metcheck tend to throw out the raw data without it having the benefit of a forecasters view. i must admit that I use it, quite a lot, along with info from Netweather (which I pay for), the UK Met Office, Met Eireann and a raft of others, including Irish Weather Network which gives real time info, a lot in my predictions. At the end of the day, thats all forecasts are, predictions based on the available information. Sometimes one will get it wrong, although personally I think I'm pretty good! Alun

must say, over the last year I have found Metcheck not very good........thumbs down

Weather4D app for iPhone and iPad has proven accurate and invaluable this trip. Animated 7 day models. WeatherTrack app also spot on and includes wave heights that were spot on.
