Effin Bridge for Effin's Day...!!

Hi All,

Dublin, Kildare and Powerboat Branches and the HBA plan a little get together to belatedly celebrate St Effins Day on December 29th. Plan is to meet up at the slip in GCD and take a spin across to Spencer Dock and up to Effin Bridge where you will be free to pray to, or hurl abuse at (verbal only...!!), the aforementioned shrine. Sam Corbett has offered the use of the MV Laura Lucy (Das Polizei Boot) though given tides on the day, it will probably remain on the Liffey. The Powerboat Bch plan a run up to Islandbridge after due homage has been paid to the great Saint. Many thanks to Sam Corbett, WI and Dockmaster Mark Clarke for their assistance with this little jaunt.

A couple of points to note.....

Anyone launching a boat needs to have it in the water and ready to go by 10 AM.

Lock through at 10.30 AM.

All boats MUST be back at the GCD sea-lock for 2 PM to lock back in.

Small boats, big water....Bring Your Lifejacket
