Shannon Bridges Air Draft

Purchasing a cruiser this year to enjoy on the Shannon, but I've been given conflicting advice regarding Air Drafts on various bridges.
Is it fair to say any cruiser with an air draft of more than 3.2 metres will restrict where we can go.....I have been told that Tarmonbarry & Rooskey bridges are even less.
Can anybody help on this please?

Hi Owen,

Minimum clearances Killaloe to Lough Key is 4m.
Camlin River 3.7m Battlebridge 3.5m

Rooskey Bridge is 3.3 closed but it lifts. Tarmon is 2.7 and it also lifts.

Clearances are dependent on water levels though so watch for clearance guages on the approaches to bridges.

3.2metre figure probably refers to the Shannon Erne waterway where all the bridges are fixed but even at that there's actually more clearance in the centre of the curved arch bridges.

Best Wishes,

Thanks for your reply Colin. Want to be free to cruise all of the Shannon so best to keep the air draft low as possible.

Again, many thanks,
