Hi Sailors, I'm new to the Forum and hoping for some help in repair for my old (40 yr) Sailor 144B VFH which will transmit but not receive. I'm told it needs a new Oscillator. I saw a post of 2009 on the Forum from a man called Barrable ! who. Could do repairs, does anybody know if he still does repairs ? Or know of anyone who does ? . The VHF has been on my boat for 25yrs and I'm very reluctant to bin it as it's a great bit of engineering and looks good. Thanks for any Help.

Tony, don't know Mick Burke but there's a guy in Oranmore in Galway (Rory something) that repaired my Navico 6500 a few years ago. He's based in the little Deerpark industrial unit just beyond the Maldron Hotel.
He shows up on the Golden Pages listing as (091)790222

Might be worth a try.

Best Wishes,

Colin
