        Greetings,

Arups have initiated a public consultation on the route options for the proposed N4 Carrick on Shannon/Dromod by-pass.

        See: https://carrickdromod.ie/

The easiest way to see the route options is on the interactive map viewer here:

        https://carrickdromod.ie/interactive-map/

Scroll down a bit and click on “View in Full Screen”

What I found the most useful was down the bottom of the screen click on the 4 little squares icon which takes you to the basemap gallery. Then pick the basemap that gives you the level of detail that suits you best.  I found the “Imagery” one the most useful.

For Shannon users the biggest impact would presumably be a new river crossing and they seem to propose one a few hundred metres south of Butlers or a few hundred metres south of the Boyle River confluence or something in the centre of the town which I don’t understand.

        Best Wishes,

        Colin Becker
